What You Will Learn

Results from the screening will give you a broad overview of your child's development in areas that are considered important for later academic success. Such areas include: pre-academics (letter/number/color knowledge, linguistic, numerical, and spatial concepts); fine motor; and social/emotional skills. Our screenings will tell you how your child's development in these areas compares to that of other children of the same age. If your child's performance is significantly below that of other children, it may be helpful to follow up with a comprehensive assessment to better identify the factors contributing to your child's difficulty. You might also choose to share the results of the screening with your child's teachers, to ensure that any potential areas of concern will be noted and addressed in the educational setting.
